Comments
Comments: After the downpours this morning, the system blew out and the temperatures eventually dropped below freezing. Someone barebooted during the transition, leaving a lot of postholes behind on the South Peak Trail.

Main Junction Trail this evening was firm on the bootpacked portion, though a bit uneven from all of the divots left during the Saturday thaw.

South Peak Trail has monorail forming in a few places (actual elevated monorail, not the incorrect term sometimes used for packed footbed). The final pitch, south facing, has two blue ice patches that outmatched my Microspikes on the descent. If I had a do-over, I would have gone with snowshoes.

Anything outside of the narrow bootpacked tread is rotten frozen granular and will result in postholing. Full snowcover remains.
