Comments
Comments: Old Bridal and Falling Waters Trails both nicely packed for snowshoeing. They also, today anyway, are firm enough for booting with traction, though it is always a good idea to carry snowshoes when venturing above treeline in winter. Franconia Ridge Trail from Little Haystack to Truman is better booted than snowshoed (extended bare rock sections), however from Truman, over Lafayette, and down Greenleaf to the hut is snowshoeable. Snow on Old Bridle Path was getting sticky this afternoon from the warmer temperatures - light traction was balling up for people, so snowshoes seemed to be the better option. Some drifted areas on Falling Waters, Franconia Ridge, and Greenleaf trails.
