Spotted one kahtoola microspike hung on a tree branch |

| Comments: |
The section from the trailhead to the shelter is still very steep. I used snowshoes; with the well-packed snow, recent melt/icing, and the steep grade, others may prefer snowshoes. Quite icy on the approach to the summit. A couple of postholes on the way down but for the most part the trail is well packed. |
