Forecasted winds were not looking favorable but we didn’t want to waste the day so we figured we’d get Pierce & Eisenhower. Got going up Crawford path and the winds seemed very manageable so we said, “f*@k it. Let’s go to Madison so we did. A northbound Presi on President’s Day to close out the SSW115. A spectacular day. Made it fine with spikes all day although the ice was no joke out there. Saw plenty of people in crampons. No need for shoes on CP or VW today but that could change with the warm temps forecasted for tomorrow & Wednesday. |
