The Drakes Brook was nearly impassable this morning. I used hip waders with microspikes stretched over them and walk on submerged ice in water well above my knees. Fortunately, the water was not moving too fast. |

Snowshoes were a must in softening snow. Some blue ice sections, but mostly full coverage of snow with a rotting out, soft snowshoe track. |
