| Comments: |
Only three inches of new snow from the day before on the ascent up Liberty Springs. Drifts up to 3-feet from Liberty to Little Haystack. It seemed like I might have been the first on that trail in a week or so. The trail was hard to follow but I found enough blazes to know I was on trail. I wore snowshoes from the car to the summit of Little Haystack. I then switched to microspikes for the rest of the trek. The ridge was a combo of ice and rock. The snow was loose on the way down with some icy spots. |
