Comments
Comments: Nice day to get to explore Echo Lake State Park - headed around Echo Lake, along the White Horse Trail to the Ledges and down Bryce Path. We had snowshoes -but micro spikes would have done the job much of the way. Really enjoyed all the boulders on the south side of the ledges -some were just massive! On the back side and up to the summit there was a lot of deer sign - kept our pups noses very busy. Only tricky spots were on a couple sections coming off the ledges and the ladders coming down Bryce Path. We just took our time and made it down. We had debated reversing our trip, but in the end felt fine even with the icy parts( my husband kept on snowshoes and I switched to micro spikes). We wrapped up the last section around Echo Lake and headed out to town for coffee and bagels.
