I read the two other reports from a week and a half ago saying that the road to the trailhead off promenade was plowed and driveable, but it looked like it was only plowed a little past where the road ends (maybe 75 ft). I drove through the cemetery to park by the gravel piles/snow piles (which was plowed), but the plow truck that was cruising around made it seem like that wasn't a good place to park even though it looked like he was done pushing snow into the pile area. Either way, my car would not have made it even if plowed as the snow was too squishy to get much traction (I tried to go down it for maybe 20 ft before getting almost stuck) and my clearance was too low. |
