Did the loop counter clockwise! Awesome workout! There was much more snow than we expected over a hard packed, bony trail. We chose to not wear or carry our Snowshoes and I regretted my decision very soon into the hike. We were very grateful for the single trail angel who hiked before us in snowshoes. I won’t do that again!
Also note, the snow bridges over the small water crossings are giving away and people are breaking through. More snow expected tonight.
Otherwise the trail was beautiful, the views were awesome, the temps were just right for winter. Two hikers were getting ready to head up after us with their dog and in their snowshoes! |
