 | Comments: |
Broke out Unknown Pond Trail and Kilkenny Ridge Trail from the pond to Mt Cabot, along with the Horn Spur. Single set of snowshoes so not well broken. It had been traveled but not recently. From Cabot down was well traveled but not well packed - snowshoes would be best. Lots of drifting on the ridge. 4-8" of fresh fluffy snow down low and 6-12"+ up high. I'm exhausted after all that trail breaking and all the PUDs (pointless up and downs). Took a shortcut across the pond. Cold day on the ridge but we survived! Beautiful area in winter. |
