 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Coming down diagonal, we crossed a small stream that appeared to have firm ice over it, but it was not firm and my foot slipped through and got wet up to the ankle. Then the other foot fell through. Carlton Brook was not far after that and did not look secure enough to attempt to cross- too much open water and after the previous episode, we did not want to attempt it. |

 | Comments: |
There was about 5-6 inches of new snow so we wore snowshoes. Most areas were packed out. On the way back, we noticed that the wind had mostly erased out footprints from the morning. Great time to do this hike because of no leaves on the trees so there were lots of areas with views that wouldn't normally have views. |
