Comments
Comments: Full snow cover remains, despite last night's heavy downpours. Seems like the thaw and rain took out the recent powder accumulation, but didn't take away too much of the base underneath.

Ski trails had seen some limited grooming action prior to the thaw, so some of the waterbars remain covered. There are some large blue ice bulges from the rain, as well as a few random areas of dirt on top of snowpack. Snow was frozen to hard pack this afternoon (temperatures in the 30s but dropping) and generally supportive for snowshoes. Above the ski area, the woods were also fairly firm, but there was rotten snow near the clear cut. A few tree wells open as well.

A little breezy, but otherwise nice afternoon weather with mostly clear skies.
