The 1 water crossing is mostly still bridged, but it does not instill much confidence. Several drainage areas are open but easily stepped across. |

3 blowdowns. First, at about 3/4 of a mile, easily stepped over. Second, at about 3 miles, easily walked around. Third, at about 3 1/2 miles, easily ducked under. |

 | Comments: |
Of course, snow shoes all the way today. Didn't even bother to carry my spikes. 4" to 8" of light new snow, with much deeper drifts approaching the cabin and along the ridge, knee deep or more. I was "lucky" enough to be the first one on the trail today and broke it out to the summit of Cabot. Good workout to say the least. Crossed paths with 8 others as I was heading down, all using snow shoes, and the trail should be in good shape. Note, the snow is still soft and unconsolidated. |
