Comments
Comments: Trail was unbroken from the start of Double Brook Rd to just after Lafayette View on Crescent Ridge Trail. Trail was also unbroken on the top portion of Mt Crescent Trail. Mt Crescent Trail past Peek Path was also unbroken as were portions of Peek Path The snow was very light powder except for the last mile or so where it was wet enough to make a snow ball. Past Lafayette View there are ski trails going in every direction. This makes it a little difficult to figure out which is the Crescent Ridge Trail. Coming down the Mt Crescent Trail we lost the trail about half way to the Crescent Ridge Trail junction. We ended up bushwhacking down to the Crescent Ridge Trail. No views in the morning, but it did clear in the afternoon. The heavy snow load in the trees prevented the GPS from picking up a signal at times. We did not see anyone all day. We wore snowshoes car to car.
