 | Comments: |
Temperatures (60s) were rising almost as quickly as gas prices today. As a result, snow was very soft and waterbars were opening up. Lots of rotten snow, slush, and running water.
One can still get to the top of the double chairlift on continuous snow. Snowpack is probably around a foot (knee deep in other places), but there are areas melting out. Triple chairlift area trails are patchy. Skis were probably the way to go, otherwise snowshoes. Barebooting would be a disaster and would destroy the spring skiing snowpack (which may not be long for this world anyway). |
