Comments
Comments: See vegamatics TR for parking to s. Moat. I believe we met when you were on the way down and I mentioned missing my snowshoes. Between n. Moat and m. Moat there is still over a foot of snow in places, mostly on North facing hillsides. It was rock hard on the way out and slightly mash potatoes on the way back, but no postholing. There's was a lot of loose ice in the tree covered sections, fallen from the frozen rain storm. There are some frozen post holes here and there, but nothing crazy. Not sure if it's worth bringing snow shoes once it starts to thaw if your just going to m. Moat. It's pretty sparse. Saw a kid named Luke smoking his dad up the mountain. He ended up lapping us on his second hike to middle (dad just did one lap). He started his third lap from the parking lot when we were leaving. Incredible!
