MT Liberty and MT Flume
Whitehorse, Liberty Springs, Franconia Ridge
Above 2500’, snow pack was still firm and icy. Micro spikes were the perfect tool. From the Flume/Liberty Spring trail junction to 2500’, snow was very slushy and there was a lot of slipping and sliding. Below the trail junction it is a mix of areas of ice to areas with running water and mud - but not enough snow/ice to warrant any traction. Spring is definitely in full swing! |
