Trail is almost completely snow free with just a few avoidable patches remaining. Trail drains well, so not much mud to contend with either (and the recent cold snap has frozen the ground again).
Tower stairs are still closed, so only a directional view south is available at the moment. A portion of the trail is closed (bridge issue), so one has to continue on the snowmobile trail to get around it.
Cloudy afternoon with temperatures in the low 20s. Trailing arbutus not yet in bloom, but noted some buds. Still some ice visible on the lake. |
