Comments
Comments: Shoulder season is hanging on strong for the main trail. A majority of it is covered in blue ice. A few extended bare/dry patches. The mudbog is still frozen over. I gave in and used spikes for the ascent, but even those were outmatched with the firm blue ice in today's brisk weather. I took a secondary trail for the descent to avoid much of the ice, as well as the water crossing. Patchy snow in the woods. Lakes still look iced over.
