Comments
Comments: A nearly bluebird day with overall great conditions for these peaks. I was able to bareboot the first couple of miles before switching to micros then on to snowshoes at 2700 feet. New snow levels ranged from from 2-6" with moderate drifts at upper levels. The trail hadnt seen any activity beyond the Firewardens Trail since this weekend. At North Twin forward trail was tracked out. Galehead and out has significantly less new snow and snowshoes came off after approximately 1 mile down GRT and was able to bareboot back to vehicle with no issue. It was nice briefly chatting with the hiker descending from S. Twin as well as chatting with a backpacker at Galehead Hut. Hope you have a great time!
