Water Crossing Notes: bridges over gorge brook held up during the storm. one washout requires dropping into the brook bed for 10-15 yards. wasn't a problem today.

Comments: all trails in decent shape and generally dry. some washout/erosion damage on gorge brook trail in it's lower section where it runs close to the brook.


really beautiful day. nice views and great hiking temps. hadn't done this loop for a while. a real nice way to hike moosilauke. my original plan had been to go up via benton trail, but last minute this a.m. i thought to check on tunnel brook roads status and it is still closed. nice to be out.
