| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I parked at the trailhead lot at 1:00PM. 3 others there when I arrived, 2 when I left at 3:30PM. Road is snow-free and in good shape. There is a large dip right before the parking area that cars may have trouble with. The winter lot on Rt. 2 is a mudpit. There are a few other parking options on Rt. 2 though. |

| Comments: |
SKT is snow/ice free for the first .5mi or so and much mud, then transissions to a mix of ice/mud with some running water for the next mile or so. It becomes hardpack then about .5mi before Starr King there are some significant blue flow ice. I went up just fine in somewhat dull spikes but switch to new Hillsounds on the way down. Much of this ice can be avoided by going off trail if you really have to.
Very few others out, but two of which were also on Cabot this morning. |
