Comments
Comments: Piper Mountain Trail only had a few small patches of snow/ice that could be avoided or crossed without issue. Dusting of snow from last night in the shade up high. Some muck in a few places and some pooled water higher up.

Old Piper Trail (and White Trail) had multiple short icy areas for which some may prefer Microspikes. I was able to to descend with caution because of the melting new snow on top.

A few minor patches of snow remain on the still-gated carriage road.

Nice spring afternoon with sunny skies, a breeze, and temperatures in the 50s.
