 | Comments: |
We left spikes on the entire way up and back. No need for snowshoes today. The area just below tree line still has a fair amount of snow but is very well packed. The ridge was an ankle-twister in the AM due to fresh powder filling around rocks enough that you couldn't tell where the holes were. On the way back it was easier because you could step in previous footsteps. Only a few drifts of deep snow above treeline. Most protruding rocks are ice free but there's a lot of ice still between the rocks.
