Most are (wood) bridged, the few open ones were easy rock hops |

Variety of blowdowns on virtually all trails I hiked today, with notable ones on C-M between Dome and the notch, and on N Carter Trail. Too many to remember or detail. In a few cases they are enough of an obstruction to have created herd paths around them. |

Bluebird day for Carters & Wildcats. Traction summary: there is alot of hard/glaze ice on the ridge trails, full crampons are highly recommended.
Ascended 19 Mile Brook Tr to the notch, then out/back to Wildcats A-D, then CCW loop of Carters (Dome/Hight/South/Middle). Overall the trails were in decent shape, I started with micros on 19MB and up to Wildcat A, then at the first site of the ice luge after Wildcat B, I donned the 10pt crampons, which stayed on 'til just before Mt Hight. At Hight (summit area is totally bare rock) I switched to micros to descend, which I quickly regretted, as it was too slippery with loose snow and I did in fact slip. Air was warm, and while I wasn't postholing so long as staying in the center of the trail, the micros were balling so I switched back to the crampons until descending N Carter Tr. At 2250' there was so little snow/ice on S Imp Tr that I removed any traction for the remainder.
It was nice chatting with the family ascending Wildcat A, who had stayed at the hut the night prior.
