The one crossing on Woods Road was high; I went slightly upstream where it's narrower. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The upper half of Hedgehog Mountain Trail really needs some erosion control measures. It continues to wash away and today it was a running stream. Three blowdowns along the ridge and a few along Woods Road. Noted new yellow blazes on Woods Road that were not there last time. |

Nice afternoon to do this loop over Hedgehog. The hiking trails were mainly damp aside from the wet section mentioned above. Some puddles, a few muddy spots. Woods Road had some really juicy mud pits and standing water.
One used to be able to walk Woods Road all the way back to Hedgehog Mountain Rd., but it looks like some land has changed hands here and that is no longer possible. A relocation brings hikers back to Hedgehog Mountain Trail from where the old road meets the private property boundary.
Good views from the various ledge outlooks and a cool breeze kept things comfortable. |
