 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A bunch that were minor and easily navigated. A large one in particular on Caps Ridge that’s fully blocking the trail. Ended up crawling under as trying to navigate around it was dense scrub. Also the sign for Sphinx Trail on the Gulfside Trail was knocked over and broken (though I think this has been this way awhile). |

 | Comments: |
Testing my mettle today doing a partial Presi. No issues with trails at all, wore spikes all day with only minor difficulties here and there. Brought snowshoes but didn’t find them necessary. Super hard crusted snow from Jefferson to Lake of the Clouds. If it warms up and this softens you’ll need the snow shoes again. Lots of ice from the packed winter trails melting. Bare rock and trail in spots up high and at lower elevations. |
