Comments
Comments: Up Airline to the summit, then down Airline to Gulfside over to Valley Way on the way down. Airline was very icy in sections where crampons would be necessary below treeline. Once above treeline, Airline was pretty dry until the last .25 to the summit. Crampons would have been useful here in spots as well. Clear views at the top over to Washington. Coming down Airline to Gulfside was slow going at times due to ice. Once I got over Valley Way it was quick work to get down. Valley Way was a bit icy in sections, but nothing microspikes couldn’t handle. Snow was slushy and soft. The only people I saw were coming up Valley Way as I was headed down.
