Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All were easy. The two upper bridges on 19 MB Tr are in great shape. The upper of the two lower, wider bridges is still missing half.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: All trail were in great shape except for the first 1.5 miles of 19 MB Tr. It has some extensive erosion but can easily be avoided.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Marlie had a great time! Not much water along the Carter Moriah Tr so plan ahead. A large dog may have trouble descending from Carter Dome to Carter Notch due to the steepness.
Bugs
Bugs: Saw a couple but nothing bothersom. Grasshoppers on Mt Hight and Carter Dome.

Comments
Comments: I parked at 19 Mile Brook trailhead and walked down NH16 to Camp Dodge to take the short cut. The road was closed only to motorized vehicles. Warm day with temps around 70 all day. The leaves are changing making the views even better. Saw 34 people and 4 dogs although had all of the summits and views to myself for at least 15+ minutes.
