 | Comments: |
For April, pretty great trail conditions!
Roadwalk was a breeze; nothing but solid dirt.
Trail is a little wet/muddy down low, but nothing crazy.
Water crossing had us thinking for a hot minute, but once we found the right steps, no worries.
Snow started at about 2500’. Solid all the way to the summit. Got soft and a little slick on the way down, but nothing crazy. No need for anything more than spikes. A good chunk of Signal Ridge Trail has turned into a narrow monorail on a sidehill, so snowshoes would probably just make things worse.
Zero sign of any traffic coming up Desolation. |
