Fantastic day finishing up this trail network! Road walked 0.6 up Thompson road to artist falls trail, took that 0.4 to the trail jct then went left on Black Cap Connector. Circled the summit of Black Cap (gorgeous views!) then went out down to Hurricane Mtn Road and then back up and over to Cranmore where we enjoyed the tables and chairs on the deck of the summit lodge and then hiked down the slopes. There is an access road on the left most side of the mtn (going down), which brings you out to power lines. You can then walk the power lines back to Hawke road (from here the power lines say No Trespassing), then turn left onto Hawke rd, which curves around and brings you out to your car at Green Hill Preserves trailhead. Really lovely day! No snow - no need for any gear. Mud was present but not terrible. |
