Started this beautiful day at Basin and glad to run into many groups that were going up Liberty Spring. I didn't see anyone except one other person on Flume Slide. Managed Flume slide with microspikes throughout, had no issues. April 19th snow was probably helpful today. No dangerous icy sections that microspikes couldn't manage. The gentleman behind me barebooted the entire slide.
The ridge was windy so I had to bundle up as I got closer to Lafayette, sticky packed snow throughout. |
