 | Comments: |
The first mile along Stony Brook were very pleasant. There are lots of slippery leaves on the trail but it was manageable. After the final water crossing and up the steeps, we started seeing some snow and broken up monorail. We put on micro spikes shortly after as we started to encounter lots of ice on the steep switchbacks to the summit. It was easier to ascend than to descend, in fact, it was scary coming down. Ditched the poles and used each and every available tree. The views were awesome and the summit was dry! |
