Comments
Comments: As earlier reports stated it is summer up until 3K on Crawford Path. From there you could maybe bare boot but I don't know why you would, as spikes of any sort (I used rock spikes) worked perfectly and made it a very easy hike from the Junction with Mizpah Cut off to Pierce. It was a sidewalk!
Snow and rock between Pierce and Ike but it was easily barebooted and stable. The Ike Loop started with more of the same snow, then was quickly gone and just rock. Edmands Path started as rock and then the sidehill snow/ice hit. Spikes and poles worked fine with the occasional veggie hold. Only sketchy section was at the cascade as it was most definitely a no fall zone. Once by that it became a flatter, fast moving sidewalk down to the Gate where it was a bit icy for a stretch and then at the magic 3K bareboots for an easy walk out the trail and down the road to Crawford.
