Parking lot was dry no issues. started to see some ice sheets 45 minutes into the hike. Put on my spikes for the remainder of the hikes until I got back to the same spot coming down. Past the Star King Chimney there was a stable monorail very quick and sturdy snow pack. Had no issues with spikes. It was a hot day in the sun. in the shade you have to deal with some small ice sheets nothing to worry about. Give it a week and that trail will be ice free. |
