I had the only vehicle at the pullout on US 302. |

Few small streams easily crossed. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Couple of tree trunks crossing at the beginning portion of the trail. |

Piper did great. This is an excellent trail for experienced canine hikers. |

Lots of non biting black flies on the lower portion of the trail by the water. |

Excellent hike on this very warm day with bright sunshine.
Dry trail except for small patches of mud on the lower portion of the trail which were easily avoided.
Some patches of ice began at 2,800 feet and easily avoided except for a short segment of the trail higher up.
Brought light traction but it wasn’t required. Summit was dry.
Saw no other hikers on the trail. |
