Beautiful day to be out! The trail was quite dry until around 3300ft where it became either muddy and wet or had a bit of an unstable, icy monorail. The monorail was in patches going up most of the way except for sunny spots. I took my spikes on and off a couple times but it could have been done without. Once above treeline the trail was dry and the views at the top were perfect! Heading back down, spikes were helpful but didn’t seem to be an absolute necessity. I can imagine the the monorail will disappear completely within the next two weeks. It was a nice day to see lots of people and pups on trail! |
