Trailhead is on the side of 112, but with a wide enough shoulder our minivan could fully pull off the road. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
Water crossings were very passable. None of the streams were very large/wide/deep. A couple of us got our shoes wet stepping across rocks. |

Trail was in good condition. Blazes are pretty faded, but overall fairly easy to follow. |

Trail was great below 3600'. Above that, it was a solid monorail of snow, and it was steep enough that I would not attempt without traction. We started to without traction, thinking it would be a little section of snow. But the monorail only got thicker the further up we went. It was in the 80s, we were very surprised at the snow! Almost everyone else we saw were wearing microspikes and doing fine. A small dog did okay too.
We talked wiht another hiker who said she had gone up the north slide, which didn't have snow on it; but we didn't make it up far enough to see for ourselves. |
