Comments
Comments: Trail runners car to car. Wet, slippery fun--lots of running water on the trail today. Spikes got a free ride.

I could have used spikes from just above the glade and into the shadiest bits of the shoulder section, but I had no trouble walking on the rocks sticking through the monorail or on the edge of the trail. You might want to bring your spikes for the confidence boost, but in a few days, I don't think there will be much monorail left.

Standing water on the shoulder in the usual (big, nasty) spots, and running water on the trail below the glade in several spots. At the junction with Rim trail, KRT was bare ground to the left and significant snow to the right. I went left!

Spectacular views of the notch this morning. Bright sun with undercast.
