large blow down on Col. Whipple, between the NWR boundary and the close approach to the RR tracks |

good walk for Fido.
Enters NWR, so check if leash is required. |

mosquitoes, black flies, horse flies, ticks.
We found 10 wood ticks on us during the day |

Col. Whipple has some very muddy sections along the logging road it follows.
Bog bridges nearer to the ponds are in good shape.
Hot hazy day for a low level hike.
Great views, and unique scenery at both Cherry and Little Cherry ponds. |
