| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Road and gate open to the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge. Plenty of cars parked along the road by the time we returned, but finding a spot was not difficult on a nice Saturday. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Lots of buddies enjoying the day with their humans. Quite a few off leash. |
|
| Bugs: |
Mosquitos were busy at the trailhead. Black flies in pockets along the trail; enough wind at the summit to keep them at bay today. Carried a bug net but didn't use it. |

| Comments: |
Trails are in good shape. A fair amount of mushy snow and monorail remain just below treeline, but all was either avoidable or shallow enough to not be a problem. Some pockets of mud and running water, esp. on carriage road & snapper, but nothing problematic to walk through. Carried spikes but did not use them; could've been helpful on a few short stretches but certainly not necessary. Water crossings are all bridged but made for a nice spot to stop and soak our feet on the way back to the car! |
