Been a long, long time since I've posted here. I got caught up with building my career and hiking went to the wayside for the last year and a half. So, I picked this little loop to get back into things. I got my butt kicked. But you know what, you have to start somewhere and I am so thrilled to be back to exploring the Whites. However, let's just say I'm not quite ready to do something like Baldfaces or Lafayette.
I did a clockwise loop, but if you aren't comfortable with descending steep terrain it might be easier to go counter-clockwise. Both viewpoints are 100% worth checking, but I give Artist Bluff extra points for its dramatic look into Franconia Notch. If you're a new hiker who wants to get a taste of bit of everything (rocks, scrambling, steeps), give this one a look. |
