Every time I park at this trailhead I get different advice from locals about where they'd like me to do so. Clear guidance and signage would benefit the residents and the hikers! |

Beautiful day on Moriah! There were a few lingering icy spots just shy of the summit. Spikes are optional I think—one of us put spikes on, the other just balanced with a trekking pole—but might still be good to carry them. A few ledges were still slick and slippery too, and a few spots of deep mud that had to be navigated on fallen logs. Black fly season is starting for real and they followed us for most of the descent. |
