 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
there are a couple of blowdowns in the vicinity of the "potholes" rock lookout; one is a combination stepover/duck under, and another is creating a very small herd-path which could be remedied if it was de-limbed |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
numerous well behaved dogs, I can't believe they can make it over the caps. Especially that 2nd cap |
|
 | Bugs: |
the black flies were out and swarming in lower sections of the trail as I returned to my vehicle in the early afternoon. Only a few were biting but gosh they are relentless. |

 | Comments: |
As suggested in Smith & Dickerman's book, I made a little loop over Jefferson's summit, down a small portion of the Six Husbands trail, Gulfside to The Cornice, and then returning down Caps Ridge. There was a small (50 foot?) section of snow on Gulfside. |
