| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Lincoln Woods lot full by 8am. Some areas of the lot are blocked off for reconstruction. We had to park on the road which also already had a number of cars lined up by 8am |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
Most of the crossings are rock-hoppable, I chose to take my shoes off and wade across in watershoes for one river (which my hiking partner was able to hop but he has longer legs than me) |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw 10 dogs! Most owners were carrying their dogs up/down the slide in backpacks |

A lot of mosquitoes and black flies along Black Pond (typical for this time of year) Repellent and a consistent moving pace worked for us |

| Comments: |
A very peaceful, yet very long, walk in the woods. Ran into a few other hiking groups, but plenty of stretches of solitude. No views from the top, and the cairn is small enough to miss it. Bushwhacks were easy to follow. Lots of opportunities to rest along the river for snacks or to refill water. I packed sandals for the last few miles on the Lincoln Woods flat trail out and my feet were very thankful for that. |
