Comments
Comments: Clouds were low today, offering no views where they would otherwise be spectacular. Lifted a little bit around lunchtime, but never seemed to clear out higher than 3500’. Trails are all in good shape, we made a counter clockwise route, making a side trip over toward the south view branch below the Mt Crescent summit. Lesser used trails heading toward Carlton Notch Trail were still in good shape, just a bit brushwork in spots. On our initial ascent up to Castleview Rock, we startled a young moose who hung around for a minute to check us out and meander up the trail. Healthy, and wasn’t aggressive...very cool!
