||Mt. Hight, Carter Dome, NH|
||Nineteen Mile Brook Trail, Carter Dome Trail, Carter-Moriah Trail|
|Date of Hike:
||Saturday, June 4, 2022|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||19 Mile trailhead about half full at 6:45. Lot full and parking along road upon return. |
||Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||No issues at crossings. All rock hops or bridged. 1 crossing between Carter Notch and Carter-Dome intersection on 19 Mile has just 1 plank remaining that is in good condition. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||Quite a few blowdowns throughout the day. All easy to get over. |
||Quite a few, all behaved. |
||Yup, they're out. Especially the mosquitoes along 19 Mile. |
|Lost and Found:
||Headed in 19 Mile, went up to Zeta Pass using Carter-Dome. From there stopped at Mt. Hight on way to Carter Dome. Mt. Hight was highlight of the day by far. |
Headed down to Carter Notch from there, passed a few people "enjoying" the steep trek up....
19 Mile from the Notch on return featured quite a wet trail for many parts. Managed to keep feet dry by being careful.
