| Water Crossing Notes: |
All crossings on Pine Bend Brook were easy. Sabbaday was a different story. There are numerous crossings off various sizes on both trails. We managed to stay dry for most of the crossings on Sabbaday, but once one foot went under on the crossing with the massive birch stretched at about eye level across the crossing, it was just easier to get both feet wet. We may have been able to bushwhack up or down the crossings to find better places to cross and stay dry, but it wasn’t worth it at that point in the hike. The water was high in a number of spots that was completely submerging the rocks. Squish squish went our boots the rest of the hike. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Pine Bend Brook needs some serious trimming back on the lower section. I only recall a few step over blowdowns on Pine Bend Brook and Sabbaday, but they may have been in the wilderness area already. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Only saw one very friendly pup today! |
|
| Bugs: |
Terrible on the ridge and at the summits! Not that bad on any other part of the trails. |

| Comments: |
Other than the above mentioned water crossing notes, there’s not much to say. We parked at Sabbaday Falls lot and road walked the mile in the beginning to warm up. Some wet and muddy spots in place, but nothing major. |
