 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Lot for at least a dozen cars; out house available; Spur road (Tower Rd) to summit is rough, need car with 8" clearance and there was 15-20'section near the beginning that could increase in size and depth after rains (3-4" deep puddles for us). |

|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails in great shape, few step overs on Bobcat. Coots is basically a rocky road for utility trucks heading to the firetower; Bobcat is nice foot path. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Cooper and Piper has fun. No water for pups, so bring some. The outlook ledge is high and drops off quickly, so may be best to ensure pups are leased prior to checking it out. |
|
 | Bugs: |
They were buzzing, but not bad due to winds, especially at summit. |

 | Comments: |
Recommended to go up Coots and down Bobcat. Coots is steep but hike is relatively quick and short; it is basically a rocky road for utility trucks heading to the firetower. Bobcat is nice foot path (few muddy spots but almost not worth mentioning). Views from firetown at summit in all directions. The look out has some nice views looking mostly east into wilderness.
That completes 52WAV for Coop and I. |
