|Hiking Trail Conditions Report|
||Mt. Liberty, NH|
||Bike path, herd path, Liberty Spring Trail, Franconia Ridge Trail|
|Date of Hike:
||Tuesday, June 21, 2022|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Parked at Basin (exit off the 93N side). Large parking lot with hardly anybody in it. |
||Dry Trail |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||Water was low and rock hop was easy. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||Water available at Liberty Spring campsite. |
||Got by fine with one Deet application at start. Gnats a slight PIA at summit, but I ate lunch with no problem, and no unexpected seasoning. |
|Lost and Found:
||Started hike in Spring, ended in Summer.|
Took bike path south, and used the established bushwhack shortcut to Liberty Spring trail. Bushwhack easy to spot, look for the water running parallel to the path, and the logs crossing the water. You'll see the impression in the leaves. When you cross the water, you'll spot the rest of the path.
Campsite nearly empty at 3, but a lot of folks coming up later with the big packs.
